I could have started with a different line. Maybe get a better hook to interest my reader. The action is the guy wants the girl to love him.
The conflict is the other man the girl loves.
The event is when the guy finally accepts the girl does not love him and she loves someone else.
Maybe I could flip it. Make the girl want the guy but make him not want her. Maybe the girl doesn’t love someone else maybe I could make it so she wants something else. It might be interesting to get the parents involved make them be the conflict. The forbidden love. That could be interesting.
